Here are five tunes that I’ve been listening to that I want everybody to share in my delight in listening to. With exams coming up I have to keep this short and sweet but I hope this puts a smile on who ever takes a few minutes to hear them out.

5. Diesler – Deepest Cuba

This is from UK producer Jonathan Radford’s new Diesler album Tie Breakers.

“Taking elements of nujazz, latin breaks and infectious house stylings, it’s like the beautiful mutant offspring of Quantic and Mr. Scruff”. http://youllsoonknow.us/post/581136738/diesler-deepest-cuba

4. Nirvana – Something in the way (Biscope Bootleg)

This is a dubstep mash up of Nirvana’s Something in the way. Beautifully and delicatley put together, Cobain has never sounded so good.

3. Hypnotic Brass Ensemble

I saw this band at the Electric Picnic and was so impressed. It was one of those cases when your just wandering around and you find yourself being drawn towards a particular tent. It was a fantastic gig complete with crowd surfing and all round great vibe.

“Their music is a combination of all genres. With the undeniable drive of hip-hop, the freedom of rock and melodic thread of R&B these guys are nothing short of unique.” http://www.choicecuts.com/mp3/spottie-heritage-ep-preview-download/

2. Loefah – Justabeat

One of the original dubstep pioneers known for his collborations with Digital Mystikz.

1. Mos Dub – Johnny Too Beef

Jaydiohead creator Max Tannone has taken some classic dub and reggae tunes and mixed them with some of the best Mos-Def songs to create Mos-Dub. It’s a simple combination but works so well and sounds like the perfect summer-is-coming type tune.
